ILCHESTER, MARYLAND
Five miles outside of downtown Ellicott City, Marlyand is old mill town of Ilchester. Is it a coincidence that Ilchester is home to the real Hell House?
It was built in the mid-1800s and was once known as St. Mary's College (possibly providing the name of the convent in SN?). And, supposedly, it was the scene of a grisly murder and suicide. The story goes that a priest hanged five students over a pentagram on the floor before killing himself.
Hell House sits on a desolate site surrounded by woods on all sides, One of the first glimpses of the place is from River Road, a winding road lined by strange old gingerbread-style houses. The buildings are only four feet tall and lie in ruins. Right near the house itself is a mysterious factory and the Ilchester train bridge, part of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, which is also supposedly haunted.

AZAZAL
The name Azazel is most commonly used as a reference to Satan or a fallen angel. According to the book of Enoch, Azazel was the leader of the Grigori (also known as the Watchers), fallen angels mated with mortal women, giving rise to a race of hybrids known as the Nephilim. Often said to be the first evils, he is commonly placed in hell's hierarchy.
In Supernatural, he is referred to as 'the Yellow Eyed Demon'.

Ruby: Pack up Nurse Betty and hit the road.
Referencing the 2000 movie Nurse Betty starring Renee Zellweger as a waitress who sees her husband killed and starts believing she's really the nurse in her favorite daytime soap opera.

Dean: Let's bail on the Holodeck, okay?
The Holodeck is a virtual world in 'Star Trek The Next Generation', 'Star Trek Voyager' and 'Star Trek Deep Space Nine', that is created and programmed by computer and is nearly indistinguishable from reality.

Dean: Well, how about this? The Suite Life of Zach and Cas?
Referencing the Disney sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (2005-08), which stars Cole and Dylan Sprouse as twins who live at the Tipton Hotel with their mother Carey, who sings at the hotel for a living.

The episode title is also the name of an experimental film by Kenneth Anger, and album (including the song by the same name) by Swedish doom metal band Candlemass.

The priest in St Mary's convent is Father Lehne - a shout out to Frederic Lehne, who played the Yellow Eyed Demon (Azazel) in Season 2.
