Warner Bros have announced their Comic Con 2009 line-ups. The Supernatural panel will take place Sunday 26th July; guests will include Misha Collins (Casteil), Jim Beaver, Eric Kripke, Ben Edlund and Sera Gamble. Source: ComingSoon.net.
Rogue Events have announced a new convention, "Asylum 5: Feast of the Dead". The event is to take place 29th-31st October 2010; no venue and/or guests have been announced yet.

Rising Con: Supernatural Spain Convention

Event organisers KLZ are currently trying to organise a Spanish Supernatural Convention, in 2010. Discussions are underway with TV producers and managers and the project has already recieved support from Jason Manns and Chad Lindberg, but they also need YOUR help.

The CW Source are asking for your nominations in their annual CW Sourcies, for the 2008-09 season. There are 25 categories including Best Cliffhanger, Favorite Villain and Funniest Scene.
E!Online's Watch With Kristin has posted her new Tater Tops 2009 polls, "What's the Best Genre Show?" and "Who Are the Best Best Friends?".
Supernatural is nominated in 2 categories in the 2009 Amy Awards: Hottest Actor (Jensen Ackles) and Best New Character (Castiel). Click here to cast your vote. Please note voting ends Sunday, June 21 at 5 p.m.
And Television Without Pity have 26 polls in their Tubey Awards. The Top 10 votes in each category will make it through, with the final voting starting July 6th for the ultimate winners!

Jared and Jensen Interviews

Jared and Jensen spared a few minutes at the Asylum convention to discuss Supernatural:
With Sunday Mercury they talk about how Supernatural should finish and the possiblity of a Season 6. They also talk about their film work last summer.

Jared at UIL Academic State Meet

If you missed the UIL Academic State Meet this year, you missed something special.
If you asked the teenage girls, that something special was 27-year-old Jared Padalecki, star of Supernatural and former regular on Gilmore Girls. He was our feature speaker this year.
Rather than attempt to describe his looks in detail. After all, I am pushing 40 and don’t want you to think I’m a cougar, so I’ll simply state the facts. He is tall. He is lean and muscular, and he is tanned. Not surprisingly, he’s been selected to two or three “sexiest celebrity” lists.
While the girls in the room followed Jared’s every twitch, twist and turn, I watched his mother, Sherri Padalecki, the award-winning journalism adviser from East Central High School, beaming with pride as he answered the questions politely, candidly and openly.

Potential 2009 Portal Awards Nominees

Airlock Alpha has released its "long list" of potential nominees, where the final five in each of the 14 categories will be chosen from for the 10th Portal Awards.
Supernatural scored 2 potential nominations for Best Actor/Television (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki), 2 for Best Supporting Actor/Television (Jim Beaver and Misha Collins), 1 for Best Supporting Actress/Television (Genevieve Cortese), 1 for Best Young Actor (Colin Ford), 2 for Best Guest Star/Television (Genevieve Cortese, "Lucifer Rising"; Christopher Heyerdahl, "On the Head of a Pin"), 3 for Best Episode/Television ("Lucifer Rising," "The Monster at the End of this Book," "Wishful Thinking").
The series is also a potential nominee for Best Series/Television.

Charity screening of a film by and starring Richard Speight, Jr.

Richard Speight Jnr will be attending a charity 10th-anniversary screening of an independent feature film called 'North Beach', which he co-directed and co-starred in. The screening will be held June 13th at 2:30pm, at the Roxy Theatre, San Francisco in honor of Rob Mulloy, one of the producers of the film and Richard's close friend for many years, who died of stomach cancer a few years ago.
Tickets are $12.50, you can buy tickets on-line or by phone at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/64455. All proceeds will go to the SAG Foundation.
