Season 5 is GO! (and a few other bits of news) date added 25th February 2009
Supernatural Season 5! The CW has handed out early pickups to six series: "Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill, "90210," the Thursday combo of "Smallville" and "Supernatural" - Hollywood Reporter
For Supernatural, this is the second straight early renewal. Creator Eric Kripke has repeatedly said from the start that the show would last five seasons, so this means next year is probably the final one. - Buddy TV

Events: Creation Entertainment have announced more guests for the upcoming Salute to Supernatural Convention in New Jersey. The lateest guests are: JIM BEAVER (Bobby), GABRIEL TIGERMAN (Andy Gallagher) and CHAD LINSBERG (Ash).
Jim Beaver will also be attending EyeCon 3 later in March (20-22), in Florida. For more info on these and other Supernatural events, click here!

Event News, Spoilers and UK airing 'Yellow Fever' date added 22nd February 2009
Events: Creation Entertainment announced that Jared Padalecki has an unforeseen personal commitment that prevents him from attending their Salute to Supernatural convention at New Jersey, March 6-8 2009. They have also announced 4 new guests: JIM BEAVER (Bobby), CHAD LINDBERG (Ash), GABRIEL TIGERMAN (Andy Gallagher), and TODD STASHWICK (Dracula). For more info visit Creation Entertainment website. Jared Interview, Spoilers and more date added 19th February 2009
Interviews: Starpulse have an interview with Jared Padalecki about Supernatural. He talks about his show's future, since they haven't been picked up for a fifth season yet:
"Right now we're in that sort of limbo," Padalecki said. "[The network says], 'Well, we really like the show. We don't know if it's coming back but make it really good for the final five episodes.' What's really good? Should we kill everybody, should everybody live, should we introduce somebody new?" For the rest of the interview click here!

Event News, Friday the 13th, Jared interview, S4 continuation delay and more date added 15th February 2009
Events: Gabriel Tigerman (Andy Gallagher) is scheduled to attend Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural, to be held March 27-29, 2009 at Marriott Los Angeles Airport, Los Angeles, USA.
Rogue Events have announced their new convention, Asylum 4! The convention will take place 28th-30th May 2010 at Hilton Birmingham Metropole, adjacent to the NEC, Birmingham, UK. No guests have been announced yet.

Julie Benz (Layla Rourke in "Faith") is scheduled to attend The Hub Production's The Hub of Horror, to be held over the black Friday weekend of 13-15 March 2009 at Monash University, Clayton Campus, Campus Centre, Theatre G149, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Film: The 'Friday the 13th' remake scored big box office on the day from which it got its name, grossing $19.1 million to lead the Presidents Day holiday weekend race by a mile. Assuming early estimates hold, that sum is easily the biggest single-day gross so far in 2009. From Hollywood Insider.
ComingSoon.net have anounced a TV Spot for Jeffrey Dean Morgan's film 'Watchmen'. The film is on general release in conventional and IMAX cinemas March 6th.
Interviews: The CW Source caught up with Jared on the red carpet of the 'Friday the 13th' premier. He talks about the differences between Sam Wincester and Clay Miller, his reaction to Sam vs Dean and his thoughts on the fan reaction to the Sam - Ruby relationship.
Supernatural Season 4: If you've already circled March 5 on your calendar, I hope you wrote it in pencil. While Smallville and Supernatural were originally scheduled to return with new episodes on that day, the CW revealed that their returns are being pushed back yet another week to March 12. No official reason was given for this delay, but odds are it has something to do with a little show called American Idol. For more info visit Buddy TV.

Film: Jared has been busy promoting Friday the 13th over the past week, with interviews on The Bonnie Hunt Show, CBS13, AZ Family.com and Parade!
Jared also attended the premiere of the film, due for general cinema release on Friday 13th, on Monday. Media: We're all aware that The CW hasn't yet announced if Supernatural will return for a Season 5. Personally, I don't see a need to be alarmed yet as in previous years the decision has not been made public until at least March.... Anyhow, Right TV share their ideas as to why!
